A Personal Journey: William Scott’s Love for Kenyan Coffee

Our roaster, William Scott, discovered his passion for coffee in Kenya during the late 1960s. At 17, he was captivated by the aroma of freshly brewed Kenyan coffee, served black and unadulterated, during early mornings in Nairobi. His time “Up Country” in Thika, staying with the Frost family, introduced him to the iconic African drying beds that shape the unique flavor of Kenyan beans. This transformative experience sparked a lifelong love for single-origin coffees, with a special fondness for Kenya AA’s vibrant, floral profile. At CoffeeSpirit.uk, William’s weekly hand-roasting ensures every batch honors that first unforgettable sip.
